- I chose the Masters in Education Technology since I worked in corporate training for many years.
- I specifically chose the Instructional Design concentration since I enjoy many skills around it, such as:
- Layout and Design whether print or online
- Bringing training online
- Coupling my graphic design degree with my corporate training skills
- Tell us about a decision that was made by a manager that negatively impacted you; what was the decision and how did you handle it?
- I had a manager that suggested I use one software over another for a particular project. At first, to appease my manager I used the software, but when running into issues. I showed the manager how you could use another software to achieve the desired goal.
- You are teaching a course in a lab setting and there is a student who is not understanding the material being covered and is slowing the course down. The other class members are visibly frustrated. How do you handle this situation?
- When working in a large class with a varied audience such as a mix of beginners and advanced users. I notice you only go as fast as the slowest person in the class. So to move things along,
- I may suggest that some questions will be answered along the way if we can keep moving forward.
- That anything not answered can be answered after class.
- That if I don’t have an answer, I will research it and email them the answer.
- That I can do one-on-one trainings with anyone needing further help.
